Explore Thirassia
Thirassia (also spelled Therasia) is a small, unspoiled island in the Aegean Sea, part of the Santorini (Thera) archipelago in Greece.
It is located just a short boat ride from Santorini and is often considered a quieter, more traditional alternative to its famous neighbor.
Like Santorini, Thirassia was part of the original island before the massive Minoan eruption (circa 1600 BCE) that created Santorini’s caldera. It retains the same volcanic landscape but is much less developed.
